Terminate Those Non-Responding Programs Now!
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last twenty years, there’s no doubt that you’ve seen one or more Windows applications stop responding. In your agitation you’ve probably just sat there in disbelief, staring at the malcontent program on the system tray, probably thinking out loud “My Computer Hates Me!”. So how do we close these unhappy programs? well we call in the Task Manager, of course.
The Task Manager provides feedback on the status of processes in your PC in real time, and gives you some control of these processes. So here’s how you get started on terminating some non-responding programs:
- Press CTRL + ALT + DELETE
- The Task Manager will Launch-> Click on the Applications Tab
- Look for programs with a ‘Not Responding’ message under the ‘Status’ Column

- Click on the Unhappy Program and then hit the End Task button at the bottom of the screen
- The program will either close right away or a message asking you to confirm the ‘End Task’ will appear. Just Click on End Task Again

- Feel better?
