Unlike Firefox, Internet Explorer makes it a little harder for you to retrieve your forgotten passwords, but that doesn’t mean it’s more secure than Firefox, trust me it isn’t.  Retrieving your forgotten passwords from Internet Explorer is even easier than Firefox but you will need a cool little program called IE PassView to do it.

IE PassView supports all of the old Internet Explorer Versions like Internet Explorer, v4.0 - v6.0 as well as Internet Explorer 7.0, the Beta version of Internet Explorer 8.0.

Here are the steps:

1. Download IE PassView here.Extract it from the zip folder or alternatively use the installer.
2. Open IE PassView. Here’s a screen shot of the program.
3. Once launched, the program will go to work, retrieving your user-names and passwords automatically. You can either copy the user-names and passwords directly from the open window or save them to a text file
