A few nights ago, a friend and I had a deep and insightful discussion into the different degrees of Geek. I mean, it’s easy to spot a Geek, but where on the Geek Food Chain does he or she reside? That was the question we were seeking answers to.

In our attempt to bring the discussion out of mere philosophical speculation and into the true and tried scientific world, we came up with a simple way of finding out Which Type Of Geek You Are.

We constructed a diabolically impressive list consisting of 10 questions that will show where on the Geek Food Chain you reside. We made the list up ourselves, so you know that you are getting an industry standard here. This list is definitive and concise, as outlined by us. For anyone of you who disagrees with our list, well Pal, get your own list.

O.k let’s get to it.

1). You will need a pen and paper. If you already have one in your Pocket Protector then give yourself a point.

2). If you wear Glasses, rectangular In Shape, give yourself a point

3). If you wake up often, with the imprint of Keyboard Keys Etched Into Your Face, take a point

4). If you are routinely Surprised By Daylight and quickly run back to your computer minutes later, take a point

5). If you Broke Up With Your Girl/Boyfriend because the relationship you’ve got with your computer is more meaningful, grab a point

6). If you routinely wake up in the middle of the night with an urge to Google Something, take a point

7). If you routinely choose your PC Over Sleep, you earn a point

8). If  your Butt Has Been Flattened because it’s been sitting on that chair in front of a computer too long, grab a point

9). If you Move Around Your Home In Your Office Chair, take a point

10). If your Girlfriend/Boyfriend is someone you’ve never met in person, and Resides Only In Cyberspace, you earn a fat juicy point

Tally up your total and check the following list to see where on the Geek food chain you reside.

If you score 1 to 2 then you are a Geekling

If you score from 3 - 4 then you are a Geek

If you score from 5 - 6 then you are a Geekster

If you score from 7 - 8 then you are a Geek-Myster

Lastly if you score 9 - 10 then you are Uber-Geek, Lord of the Geeks
