Hidden Firefox Message: The Book of Mozilla, 11:9

Firefox has been hiding a number of treats in every version that they release. Recently, I told you about the book of Mozilla, which seems to be an ongoing saga in Firefox. You can read more here. Firefox 3 is no different, with the release of chapter 11:9 (10th edition).

You will need to get Firefox 3.0 for this message, although each version of Firefox will give you a different chapter.

  1. In the Firefox Address bar type: about:mozilla
  2. Press Enter
  3. Enjoy!

Here’s what it says:

Mammon slept. And the beast reborn spread over the earth and its numbers
grew legion. And they proclaimed the times and sacrificed crops unto the
fire, with the cunning of foxes. And they built a new world in their own
image as promised by the
sacred words, and spoke
of the beast with their children. Mammon awoke, and lo! it was
naught but a follower.

This story is a continuation on previous chapters. You can envision the Firefox programming team mischievously remarking how Firefox is overtaking Internet Explorer as the Web Browser of Choice. I found it amusing how in the following sentence “Mammon awoke, and lo! it was naught but a follower.” That the lo looks a lot like lol, the web acronym for laugh out loud.
