Every once in a while something cool comes your way and you just feel the need to tell everyone. So I’ll tell you about a cool Firefox extension called Video Download Helper.
Firefox, as most of you know, is a web browser which unlike Internet Explorer, lets you install user designed extensions to interact with the browser. That’s one of the great advantages of open source software. There are hundreds of extensions available for free from Mozilla.org, some are great and others not so great, but the cool part is that you can alter your Firefox to suit you, and that kind of empowerment is always welcome.
Once you have downloaded Video Downloadhelper, you will notice a gray icon with three balls attached together, to the right of your address bar. While surfing a site which has content that Video Download Helper can download, you will see that gray icon change to color and become animated. All you need to do is click on the drop down menu, choose the file you want to download and save it onto your computer, Simple as that!.Video download Helper lets you download videos and “pssst” it also works for picture galleries and audio downloads, sweet.
