Backing up your email or bookmarks is important thing to do, but it can often be a hassle to do if you are not a techie. As well as backing up your information for safe storage, there are other instances when creating a backup of your information is important. For example, if you purchase a new computer you will most likely want your email and bookmarks in your new system, and you will need backups to get that information to your new PC.
MozBackup is very handy program that will help you do just that, for free.
Here are the steps:
- Launch MozBackup and press Next

- Select the program that you would like a backup from and press next

- Choose the profile that you would like to backup and select the folder that you would like to save it to. Save it to your memory stick if you are porting it over to a new PC and press next

- Select what you would like to backup and press next

- Once the backup is created, a file with a .pcv extension will appear in the folder that you selected earlier.
- If you are doing a restore to a new PC, just put the memory stick with the stored .pcv into the USB drive and launch MozBackup from your new PC (Note: you will need to install MozBackup on your new PC). Browse to the folder that you saved the .pcv file to. Since you have saved it to the memory stick, just browse to the folder in the memory stick. Lastly, just follow the easy steps outlined by MozBackup and your done.
