PES File extensions are created by PE-Design software available through Brother dealers for industrial sewing machines. The PES file extension can be found in a number of different sewing software, including Designer’s Gallery StudioPlus & Threadsmith Format Foundry.
Generally, your Windows Operating system is very good at association the correct program with your files, meaning that if a File Extension PES needs to be opened up, Windows automatically detects the correct program to associate with your File Extension PES.
Occasionally though, if your Windows Registry becomes corrupted, you may encounter difficulties launching your files, including the File Extension PES files. When this happens you can try manually associating the PES file with the correct program. Unfortunately this doesn’t always correct the problem, meaning that you may have to reinstall the software that is associated with the File Extension PES, to resolve the problem. If reinstalling the software associated with the File Extension PES does not resolve the problem, you may have to manually correct this by fixing the registry yourself. Manually tampering with the registry is not recommended, because you can mess up your Windows Operating system, not to mention that fixing a registry issue is not exactly an intuitive process.
The best bet to fixing file extension issues is to get a third party software that will correct the problem for you.
