The streets of Vienna have become more dazzling with the installation of spectacular solar powered light posts masquerading as trees. These visually appealing lamp posts will be providing clean lighting to neighborhoods in Europe, while saving the municipalities thousands of dollars every year.
The solar trees are a completely self-contained lighting source, meaning that there are no additional under or overground wires necessary to feed the units. The trees are able to provide continuous LED lighting at night by gathering energy at daytime and storing it in batteries that are built into the unit.
