Multiple Time Zones In Vista
This one goes out to all you Vista users out there.
If you’ve got friends and relatives residing in different parts of the country or world, having multiple clocks displaying different time zones is a very convenient way of keeping track of what time of day it is over there. There’s nothing worse than calling Granny at 3:00 A.M, as much as she loves you, she doesn’t want to hear from you in the middle of the night. She needs her beauty sleep, leave her alone.
The great news is that Windows Vista allows you to set up to three Time Zones off of your system clock. Here’s how to do this:
- Click on the Time on your Taskbar
- When the pop-up menu appears, click on the ‘Change Date And Time Settings…’ option

- When the Date And Time Window launches, click on the Additional Clocks tab

- Down the Left Side of the page you will be given the option to activate one or two clocks. Click on the checkbox and select the TimeZone(s) and give the timezone a name, like “Granny” and click Apply/Ok
- From this point forward, when you hover or click on the Time, you will see your new time zones.
