For those of you who haven’t heard, Find.com was relaunched back in October 2008 and competes directly with the big search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN. I’ve got to admit, I didn’t know much about the search engine Find.com until recently. It seems that I too have fallen into a habitual trap of sticking with search engines that I’m familiar with and it was a big mistake. Find.com is possibly one of the cleanest and most precise Search Engines out there. The first thing that strikes you right away is the gorgeous image of a tree to represent the points of the web, the image itself seems to intone that Find.com is taking a more organic approach to search engines, more people friendly.
Besides the accurate search algorithm that Find.com uses, they have also decided to maintain a very cool approach as well by integrating a directory structure. This is very useful for those who are looking for suggestions on key words or topics or require a concise definition of the topic you are researching. For example, if you were looking for information on laptops you would click the laptops subcategory under Computers. This is a different approach than the big search engines take, and I think they’ve got a winner. True to its name, Find.com is giving people options and therefore helping people find instead of search.
Find.com is a search engine that has simplified how you find information. I recommend you take find.com for a spin and see how it works for you, I think that you’ll agree that its a winner.
