Do You Want To Disappear?
If you answered yes to the above question, then professors from the University of Tokyo in Japan may have just what you need.
Although the concept is ridiculously simple the results are fantastic. The key is the use of specially designed fabric called ‘Retro-reflective Material’ which can reflect light back at the same angle and direction, instead of scattering it away. In the case of the video below, the source of the image is taken from behind the subject and then fed to a projector in front of the subject. The projected image is then reflected off of the subject, who is wearing the ‘Retro-reflective Material’, making him appear see-through.
The potential for this sort of technology is obvious, from military uses to advertisements on walls, your imagination is the limit. Check the video below for a demonstration of this great technology.
