The following is a cool tech tip that will help you use your Keyboard to control your mouse pointer. It was created by Microsoft to help people with physical disabilities. I found this trick extremely useful when my mouse stopped working properly, so it’s good to know that it’s there if you need it. Here’s how to set it up.
- Go to Control Panel -> Double Click Accessibility Options

- When The Accessibility Options Windows Loads -> Click Mouse tab
- Put a check mark in the Use MouseKeys Check box

- Additionally, you can tweak the responsiveness of the mouse pointer by clicking the Settings button

- Click Apply/OK
Whenever you need to use the keyboard keys to move the mouse pointer use your number pad to do so. The following is a diagram on how to control the mouse pointer with your keyboard. I hope you enjoyed this cool tech tip, please tell your friends.

Interesting article…but just one question. How does this work on laptop keyboards with no separate numeric keypad? Is this not accessible to those who use laptop keyboards, or is there another key combination?
